Today is my 41st birthday and I honestly did not think that my mum would be here to see it with me so this is the best present I could ask for. Mum got a nurse to write a message in my birthday card and I will treasure her words forever. She had a relatively good day and was awake when we visited this afternoon and this evening. I kept all my cards and presents and opened them with her this afternoon and mum's present to me (via Joe) was a Willow Tree Mother and Daughter Angel. A nurse asked her what time I was born and without a moment's hesitation she answered "14.44". When the nurse expressed her amazement that mum could remember, my mum replied " there are some things a mummy never forgets".
