This site is dedicated to the memory of Anne Gillespie.

This fund has been set up to honour and celebrate the life of my wonderful Mum, Anne Gillespie who lost her long but brave fight against COPD on 8th October 2013 at 9.45am. Anne was the kindest, most caring and thoughtful person that you could ever meet whose family meant everything to her. Her kettle was always boiled ready to make you a cup of tea and she was always there to listen and give you support and advice whenever needed. Her one regret was that she didn't get to spend more time with her precious and adored baby grandson Dylan but in the 10 months that she had with him she managed to pack in a lifetime of love!! Dylan won't remember his Granny so if you are able to leave a tribute to Mum on the Visitors' Book page it will let him see just what a special person she was and what she meant to so many people. This fund will raise money into the research of COPD. When it reaches £2,000 BLF will dedicate a tree at a Woodland Trust site in memory of Mum. When it reaches £5,000 they will name a star after her, which will appear on the Intergalactic Star Database for eternity. Please help us to let my Mum shine bright in the sky like the star she was. Thank you for your support. Dave, Gaynor, Joe and Dylan xx

My Aunty Anne was my idol. The classiest lady I ever met. She was always beautiful, and is responsible for my love of shoes, bags and lipsticks. When I was wee, I ran away from home to live with my Aunty Anne and Uncle Dave. I remember the time I couldnt afford a suede top for a night out, so bought 2 chamois and took them to Anne to turn in to a top. A few hours later I was out in my new "suede" top, Or the time she made me my lovely pink skating dress. Whatever it was, clothes, cakes, dinner it was always perfect. Just like the lady herself. Kind, caring, loving, and great fun. Gaynor, your Mum will be a very proud lady this weekend, seeing what you are doing.

My Auntie Anne was one of the kindest, warmest, bravest ladies I ever knew. I miss visiting Gibsongray street and hearing her say 'It's oor Jillie'. I miss hearing all the gossip and the laughs, the stories the smiles in the kitchen over a cup of tea. She had the rare gift of listening to you and was always interested in what was going on in your life. She loved you Dylan very much and your mummy is very like her. I'm so glad she was my auntie and I will remember her with love always.

Anne - it was a pleasure for me to be professionally involved with you and your lovely family. The love between you, Dave, Gaynor, joe and your precious Dillon was evident in every word and gesture. You hung onto life in a way that no-one thought possible because leaving them was something too difficult to contemplate. You showed dignity and strength in what was a very difficult struggle. your kindness and humour and courage were so evident. I learned from you and your family Anne and I know your love will live on in the many memories that your family have.
